The Ouran Koukou Gay-ness

One reader recommended reading Ouran Koukou Host Club when I wrote about Hana Kimi. She described Ouran Koukou as being as funny as hell and so being one to love crazy mangas and animes, I immediately checked it out and so glad that I did. Many thanks for the recommendation, Kikuri-hime! 
Ouran Koukou Host Club is so gay that everytime I watch it, I can’t help but be afflicted by the gay bug. And of course, I ain’t talking about the gay sexuality here, although I won’t argue with someone who thinks otherwise. It’s gay in the sense that Ouran has such a happy and light atmosphere, proving itself to be a feel-good anime to watch for those feeling down in the dumps.
Who wouldn’t get out of an unpleasant mood after looking at these hotties, right? 
However, as I said, I can’t argue with someone who thinks Ouran is gay as in gay in its most literal sense. I myself have been quite disturbed when I first saw the “brotherly love” between the Hitachiin twins, Hikaru and Kaoru. At first, I couldn’t take looking at them while they display their hosting specialty to their customers. But I have to admit, it was fun watching them anyways. And of course, I’d have to mention that cute little host, Honey-sempai aka Mitsukuni Haninozuka, and his cool right-hand man Takashi Morinozuka. Honey-sempai’s character is both weird and cool being a contradiction to oneself. He’s both suffocatingly-sweet (too much for a man of his stature) and tough (which was what’s called for him to become). Takashi, on the other hand, is just plain serious, nothing more, nothing less. Their tandem is such that Takashi neutralizes the aura they exude, so they could appear to be the perfect two peas in a pod. Of course I’d like to recognize the presence of the female protagonist in this crazy plot, Haruhi Fujioka. The addition of her character brought about a certain imbalance in nature, but one which made the whole series hilarious and amusing to watch. To complete the family, let’s add the “parents” of the host club, Tamaki Suoh and Kyoya Ootori, the daddy and the mommy. This was what actually caught my interest when I started reading its manga. I laughed so hard when I read Tamaki callling Kyoya “Mommy” and him responding “Yes, Daddy?” LOL! It was such a kawaii scene that I just had to continue reading just so I could see similar scenes. And as this anime is all about contradictions, the personalities of the hosts’ “parents” are just right to complete the wacky cast of Ouran Koukou Host Club. Tamaki’s pure kindness and his laughable personality bind them all together while Kyoya’s serious and business-minded attitude keep them going hand-in-hand. Plus, add that ever popping-out-of-nowhere club manager, Renge, and you’ll really be LOLing throughout the duration of this anime.
I particularly like the feeling of a family of friends which the hosts presented their audience with, and of course the laughs that come with it. I eventually searched online to check if an anime was released and watched it. But I have to say that I’m not satisfied with the ending and thus hope for a second season to come out. They can’t just left us hanging, right? I mean, there’s that hanging message that both the fathers of Kyoya and Tamaki want to have Haruhi as their daughter-in-law in the future. Plus, we now wonder if ever the relationship between the club members, especially Haruhi and Tamaki, changed since she persuaded him not to leave for France. And the question that bothers me the most – will Tamaki ever realize that what he feels for Haruhi is not that of a father to his daughter but more of a guy in love with a girl?

This anime is a bishounen heaven! I heard a rumour about the second season. But nothing is sure yet. I hope there is…

I LOVE OURAN KOUKOU HOST CLUB! One of my internet friends showed me the anime and I really enjoyed watching it!
My favourite 3 boys are: Hikaru, Kaoru, and Tamaki!! X3

Unfortunately, there’s still no word about a second season and some anime fans are even certain that there won’t be one.

THE BROTHERLY LOVE IS SO CUTE!!!! I get jealous for some reason. Maybe just because they seem sooooooo happy together. Everyone just has so much fun all the time, you know? And Honey is so KAWAII!
It makes me so happy to watch this show! 
I LIKE KAORU, NAKAZOWA AND HIKARU!!!!! I would pick a favorite twin, but who could ever pick one over the other when they’re so cute together? (And Nekozawa’s really funny and very sweet underneath all the creepy puppet-ness.)

I really want a second season. It was so awesome. I love Honey sempai he is cute and how they think he will kill them when they spill juice on his bunny.AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! I LOVE Honey. Also, the twins are so precious.LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!! THEM! ALL!
