Interest in reading manga aroused again when I decided to start reading Detective Conan from it’s very beginning. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve already watched its anime many times but I can’t seem to finish watching even just the 1st season. Every time I watch it, I go back to the beginning and it got tiring after some time. So once and for all, I decided to hit its manga scanlations.

You’ve spent twelve years on a story which ending has already been predicted from the very beginning. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just that all stories will eventually turn out to have a happy ending even though the characters have to go through hell and back a thousand times - like what you had Inuyasha and the group do. I’ve been so patient as I loyally continue to read your manga, not airing out my disappointment on why you have to spend like 500 chapters before Inuyasha can finally defeat Naraku, who turn out to be emotionally good all along because all he wanted was to have Kikyou’s heart. But being an Inuyasha fan, I forgave you for that. But what I cannot forgive is that you have 558 chapters all to Inuyasha, and Kagome and him didn’t even land a single kiss on each other!!!!!! You are so cruel to InuKag fans!!!! I have not felt this much disappointment in all the mangas and animes that I have read and watched so I thank you (NOT) for making me feel this way. I was dreading to reach the final chapter fearing that in excitement of reading it, I’d forget to slowly experience the joy of seeing Inuyasha and Kagome kiss and see them say I love You to each other. So, thank you very much for bursting my bubble! I cannot believe this!

Perhaps I’m also just waiting for the time for the Inuyasha manga to be completely finished before I read it, that way I won’t feel that I’m left hanging on a cliff when I’ve read through all the chapters of Inuyasha which has yet to be finished. But now, my patiently waiting has finally paid off! I can finally read through until the very end of Inuyasha! That is if I finally find the time, which I will surely make time for. Hehe! Yey!

I love hunting down good stories and during one of my quests to find stories that are worth reading, I stumbled upon one of the works of Wolf Blossom and she instantly made a fan out of me. Perhaps those who’ve read her stories won’t really give much praises but I’d like to do otherwise simply because her stories’ plots and settings lie where my interests are - school, arranged marriages, hate-relationship-turned-to-love, fantasy, gangs wars, school popularity, and  few other things. And it also helped that her stories are almost always about two of my fave anime couples - Sakura Kinomoto & Syaoran Li and Inuyasha & Kagome Higurashi. The stories that she makes also don’t have much grammar and spelling errors wich if I may say so, are quite hard to find. Well, her earlier stories do have grammatical errors but she improved quite well over the years, both on grammar and on story plot. So, cheers to you Wolf Blossom! Make me happy and finish up your pending stories and make lots more! Hehe! She simply knows how to tickle me where it really tickles me and makes me happy (not that she intended to write stories solely for my own viewing. Hehe!).

Her stories are actually like a drug for me, I just can’t help but read them over and over again and I can’t have too much of it. Oh me, oh my! I’m an addict! LOL! Oh well, at least I have something I know can make me happy anytime that I’m feeling down.

I have to extend my praises to the creators of Flame of Recca as even though it seemed to be like Yu Yu Hakusho at first, this anime proved itself to be really different in more ways than one. Not only that, Recca was really able to surprise me when he was told that we wasn’t truly a Flame Master and when I got to know what sort of incredible power Resshin (Ouka, his father) holds. I wasn’t really expecting it to be the form of a phoenix, much like Kurei’s, and so came to conclude that this manga’s not the least bit predictable (or maybe it’s just me and my not-so-good predicting powers, hehe).

I thought I was already over it the moment it ended. I thought I was already over with the post-withdrawal syndrome that I experienced after I got to taste what it feels like. And only now did I realize that I’m loving it all over again and this addiction will stay for a while - that is until I finish it for the second time around. Oh yeah, I’m talking about Flame of Recca here. What were you thinking? Hehe.

I got hooked to this hot (literally) Flame Master when it was first aired. I fell in love with it instantly as it reminded me of Yu Yu Hakusho because of their somewhat-similar plot which includes a tournament and a five-member team. But of course they have their own distinctions and later on, what got me really hooked on Flame of Recca was his flame dragons and his burning desire to protect his princess, Yanagi-hime. Yep, I’m a sucker for modern-day-knight-in-shining-armor stories. Hehe.

But I have to admit, I’m a little ashamed of myself for knowing only NOW (when I’m already working) that manga scanlations are available online or else I would’ve known long before that the tournament isn’t the ending of Flame of Recca (Whew! That was a long sentence. Hehe). Blame it on my stubbornness as well for not listening to my officemates when they advised me to read the manga version of Flame of Recca as it’s waaaaaaaaayyyy better than its anime series. I’ve only started reading it recently and yep, it’s indeed way better, it hasn’t failed my expectations. I know it won’t.

Now I can’t wait to finish the entire manga and get to know what happened after the tournament, the twists and turns, and Recca and Yanagi’s budding romance.

I’m off to continue reading now. Recca, surprise me.

I really can’t get enough of Alice Academy or what’s also known as Gakuen Alice. I just can’t! I’m now waiting impatiently patiently for the next chapter to be uploaded! Its taking so long… plus there are also chapters missing from where I got my scanned copies of this very kawaii manga! Ohhh, how I hate cliffhangers!

I can’t believe I was almost fooled that there are only 26 episodes of Gakuen Alice (because of its TV series) when in fact the manga’s still not finished up until now. I’ve had my doubts when the last episode of Alice Academy was aired that it still wasn’t the end of it because there are a few details left unsolved - like who is the woman who is much like Mikan Sakura that Narumi-sensei was talking about, the unresolved missions of Natsume Hyuuga, and how important Mikan Sakura’s alice of nullification is to the academy and to someone (read: Natsume) as Narumi-sensei pointed out when Mikan first stepped into the academy. It was only through reading the manga that I was able to know the loopholes of these unresolved details in the anime series. It turned out that the woman Narumi-sensei is talking about is none other than Mikan Sakura’s mother (no shock there, really) and who also happens to be the woman Narumi fell in love with. Also, Mikan seems to be the one who can truly help out and save Natsume through her nullification alice. Sweet, isn’t? Oh, now I’m really craving more of Natsume and Mikan’s subtle sweet moments! You’re gonna laugh about this but I can’t get enough of this cute couple that I made characters out of them in The Sims 2. LOL! I made them husband and wife with two children, Thor and Rai (names taken from Jyu-oh-sei), and live in a somewhat-extravagant house. Hehe!

I’m sure there will be a Season 2 of Alice Academy. They can’t just let us all hanging and begging for more of this series, right? Hehe! I’m waiting……….

I was hesitant at first. I’ve had my initial doubts. The plot did not have any appeal to me initially even though its summary clearly included “boyfriend” in it proving it to be a romantic manga. Even though I am a sucker for romance, having read boyfriend with the words “package” and “return within three days” did not make it sound appealing at all for me when it should have had aroused my interest. Okay, I admit it did a little but it was not enough for me to continue reading it plus the fact I had better things things I was paid to do. But boredom stroke after I’ve done what I needed paid to do and before these idle hands of mine do something utterly ridiculous, I decided to check up on the manga again and decide to read it. After all, if I didn’t find it interesting, I can just discontinue reading it. But alas! How wrong I was! I’m not easily addicted to things that have not caught my initial interest but when I do get addicted, I don’t stop till I’m satisfied (err scratch that again) or rather till I’m finished. And you could say by now Zettai Kareshi (aka Absolute Boyfriend) had my eyes stuck to the computer screen in the hope of finishing it fast. Hehe!

The Fushigi Yuugi and Zettai Kareshi mangas of Yuu Watase have many things in common (and with her other works as well) and that they both have a fantasy plot, they have females as the lead character (not to mention both have funny personalities), and both these girls get undoubtedly bishounen guys as their lovers *much love.* Hehe! I only wish that’s really how it is in real life (I mean the bishounen guys)… *daydream mode*

I’ve recently read the Korean Manhwa (their version of anime manga) Zippy Ziggy and all I did the whole time I was reading it was laugh my heart out! If you guess that this Korean anime is all about comedic antics of its leading character, then I’d have to say you are absolutely right! And it doesn’t help your poor lungs that it was drawn waaaaayyyy hilarious! I was only on the fourth page and I was already laughing so hard! Well, if you don’t believe me, then take a look at the page I’m talking about:
