All *Giggles* for Hana Kimi

If you’re feeling down and want some light romance to light up your gloomy day, then I’d definitely recommend reading Hanazakari no Kimitachi e or Hana Kimi for short. I’ve had nothing but laughs and giggles when I was reading this manga. Now I know why a Japanese and Taiwanese live version came out - they just had to share to the televiewers the pleasant feelings this manga provides.

Hana Kimi - Anime-Aimee

This is actually a very late post, I’ve read the manga twice already and  the first time I did, I’ve been meaning to blog about it. The seond time? I just had to blog about it! Lol! Twice I’ve read Hana Kimi and it still gave me reasons to laugh and love it. I also love the way the characters have been drawn, they’re  just so adorably cute - especially for Ashiya Mizuki, Hana Kimi’s heroine. Although I have reason to say that the other male characters seem to look alike - sometimes I just can’t tell them apart! Haha!

On another point, I won’t be able to defend Hana Kimi to those who argue that this is such a gay manga as it really is! Im not against the third sex but I get goosebumps everytime Umeda-sensei’s scene showing him lip-locking with a guy comes up. Haha! So yeah, I’d have to agree to the gayness of Hana Kimi. Although I know it’s one of the reasons why I was hooked. :-) But more importantly, what got me all tied-up is the light and comedic romance between Ashiya Mizuki and her favorite high jumper Sano Izumi. :D And add in high-spirited Nakatsu Shuichi, we have a winning love triangle! Lol! But I kinda feel sorry for Nakatsu who had to go through a “phase” and then finally embracing his new “sexuality” only to know that he’s been crushing on a girl the whole time. Hehe! How cute of him, right? :D

Though Nakatsu is cute, I’d still go for the romance between the hero and the heroine of course! I just love how cute Sano Izumi is when he worries and how he cares for Mizuki. :D And the fact that he let her stay even though he discovered her real identity on her very first day. Also, let’s not forget the sweetest thing he’s done for her - go back to high jumping again so her stay can be worth it, but more than that, so she could stay longer in the academy. So sweet! :D

These are my fave parts in Hana Kimi. (These are sweet moments, of course :D)

After Mizuki tells him that she has loved him for a long time now…

Sano couldn’t wait anymore, he has to kiss Mizuki right then and there, even though someone was calling them at their door that time.

It still gives me that butterflies-in-your-stomach-feeling whenever I read these parts. Hehe!

I love Hana Kimi! ♥ I think I’m gonna watch the Taiwanese version, to see Hana KImi live and to check if it’s as good as its manga. :D

Hi… I read this once. And I also watched this series, but it was a dorama version. It’s kinda dejavu… i dunno… it reminds me of Ouran. maybe because of the gender bender / cross-dressing thingy. Anyway, it’s funny!

Hi Kikuri-hime! Is the dorama version good? I wanna see the Taiwanese version only coz I think the actors are more good looking than the Japanese. Lol! I haven’t heard of Ouran but when I googled it and saw the plot, I’d have to agree it’s like Hana Kimi. I’d have to set my free time reading that one. Haha! I think I’m starting to like “gay” mangas. Hehe!

Im not sure bout the ‘good looking’ part, but it was good. Funny…. I hvnt tried the taiwanese version. Maybe i’m gonna give it a shot. BTW, yup, OURAN is funny as hell too. You must give it a go!

Haha! Okay, I’ll just watch both the Japanese and Taiwanese versions of Hana Kimi.

Thanks for the recommendation, now I’ll really set my free time reading Ouran. Haha!
